FC Seoul, a professional soccer team, swept its chest with "electric kickboard happening" caused by star Jesse Lingard (32, photo) during the Chuseok holiday.

Lingard posted a video of him riding an electric kickboard near Rodeo Street in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on his social media account on Wednesday night. Under domestic law, drivers need a license to drive more than a motorized bicycle. However, Lingard had been suspended for 18 months last year in the U.K. with fines worth 100 million won for drunk driving and speeding. Lingard was not even wearing a helmet.

Lingard, who provoked controversy by himself, immediately deleted the video as if he were aware of the violation of the law. One day later, he posted an apology on Thursday. In the post, Lingard said, "I drove in violation of regulations on electric kickboards. I didn't know that I needed a license and a helmet because there are no regulations like Korea in the U.K.," adding, "I will not repeat the same mistake."
It is highly likely that the incident will end with happening. The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul will end with a fine if there is no additional mistake such as drunk driving. "Lingard had dinner with his mother and sister visiting Korea and rode an electric kickboard out of curiosity," FC Seoul said. "We confirmed that there was no behavior that could cause problems such as drinking."

Lingard is considered the best-ever star among foreign players who have advanced to the K-League. A former member of the English Premier League's prestigious Manchester United, he played in 32 A-match games (six goals) including the Russia World Cup finals.

Lingard, who has not been able to find a new team for nearly half a year since the end of his contract with Nottingham Forest (England) in June last year, surprised soccer fans around the world by choosing FC Seoul in February, refusing to call for love from prestigious European clubs.

"Seoul officials came all the way to Manchester to see me train," Lingard said on a TV program hosted by Yoo Jae-suk. "It was different from other teams that I contacted over the phone and e-mail. I was so impressed by his sincerity that I decided to go to Seoul." 토토사이트

Lingard has scored four goals in 18 K-League 1 matches this season. He is said to have elevated the level of professional soccer by displaying compliance techniques and ball-keeping skills. Seoul, led by Lingard's performance, has attracted a total of 403,389 spectators in 15 home games this season. The average number of spectators per game is 26,893.

"When I was in the Premier League, I was worried at first because I had an image of a bad boy, but what I have shown since joining the team is professionalism itself," Seoul coach Kim Ki-dong said. "I hope that the electric kickboard happening will serve as a stimulus to increase concentration at the end of the season."
